The Beginning

Folgorosa was born in 1711, when an estate was established there by the Biker Correia family, since then it has always been dedicated to the production of wine.

1810

On Napoleon's Path

In the 19th century, when the French invasion began, he spent a night there, and our lands became the stage for military operations. In 1810 the city “Town of Torres Vedras” was used as a defense against Napoleon’s troops by the Duke of Wellington, who was passionate about Portuguese wine.
1910

Folgorosa House

In 1910, the Folgorosa House was born, designed by one of the most famous architects of the time, Ernesto Korrodi. Years later, between 1980 and 1981, the first red and white wines were bottled, respectively.
2003

New Vineyards

The new Folgorosa vineyard was planted in 2003 and produces wines that represent the best of Portugal.
2019

In 2019, Thomas Lindeborg, passionate about Portugal and wines, acquired Quinta da Folgorosa with goals and dreams to fulfill, and in 2020 Lindeborg Wines was born, a company that seeks the authentic, defends sustainability and aspires to the best quality for all wines.

sustainability

As part of the agricultural industry, we fully depend on our surrounding, just as it depends on us. That’s why we grow our produce organically and sustainably. Over the past decades the carbon footprint of the winery has been positive, which is something we’re really proud of.
